yesterday was awesome. the lovely vanessine de la pluma came over and acted as my barbie doll for like four hours for roadkillers first official shoot. i think we got some sick shots, no?
top: charlotte russe, $13, available here
jeans: free people, models own
brooch (worn on jeans): vintage, stylists own
bracelet (pictured below): pink toffee, available soon at shoproadkillers.com

haha, the "shots" for this shoot were actually peach flavored water. for the first photo of her tossing one back vanessine tried to make a face like, "ugh, thats some strong booze!!" but it ended up like, "wait, this is good!" totally funny dude. <3

we both were in love with the drama of her hairstyle combined with the natural makeup. it has a striking effect, right? vanessine is a total pro... she did her hair and makeup herself and i think it really worked well for the shoot...

dress (worn as a top):
forever 21, $16,
available here

jeans: free people,
models own

heels: models own

bracelets: stylists own

i think this is my favorite outfit out all of them. it fit vaness perfectly... it looked so natural on her! i could totally see her wearing it for a night out with friends, on a date... to the grocery store... i'm actually not being sarcastic this time when i say she could wear this to the grocery store. it just looked so cuuuuuute!! >,<

corset: charlotte russe, $14, available here

shorts: calvin klein available here
hairpins: pink toffee, available soon at shoproadkillers.com
boots: stylists own
gold bangles: stylists own

this was dubbed "pocahontas in the city" for obvious reasons... lol. we're weird.
but i mean, if you think about how pocahontas would dress in a modern day city setting, this would probably be about the gist of it.
and again, luv the hair.... omg.

while we were shooting this set vanessine expressed how she loved the fact that the way she felt and the way she held herself changed with each outfit. it speaks highly of the power clothing possesses. it can change your mood, the way you walk... its epic.
yes, i will step down from my designer soapbox now.

fringed tee: available here
shorts: models own
bunny ring and hairpins: pink toffee, available soon at shoproadkillers.com
gold bangles: stylists own
assorted gold necklaces: stylists own

i super love these shots... they look so chill and summery. though in truth it was freaking freezing outside. poor ness rocked it like a champ, totally capturing the feel of a sunny lazy summer day.

ok, the bunny hairpins.... cute right? at first glance its like, "um, juvenile much?". but i think they just need to be paired with the right outfit. something laid-back like this ensemble totally works with quirky accessories... in some way these bunnies make this outfit more high fashion, imo!!
all in all it was an awesome shoot. this was hardly my first time behind the camera... i love photography, i could eat it for breakfast... but this was the very first time i ever acted as a stylist... it was an amazing experience!! i couldn't have asked for a better barbie doll for this shoot either, vanessine was just so totally pro. we gotta work together again soon. <3
