new items! yay!

ah, it feels like its been forever since i last updated my shop!! between reading (comics) and general household chores that keep me busy (reading more comics), i just seem to always be busy. apparently reading comics for the most part, but still...

so anyway, i've been slacking. it was high time for me to take some pics of the new stuff i have to offer and post 'em. that way i can read my 'kimi ni todoke' in peace... haha! ;)
head over to shoproadkillers.com to check out the new merch, check out the old merch, to gaze longingly at the betsey johnson nighty i just listed... yes. i know.

this tank top is epic. the print is cute and random, making it perfect for summer and a perfect match for a simple pair of cutoffs. add a blazer: effortless chic-ness.
tilt cuttoffs, studio y velvet blazer, and freeze tank all available at shoproadkillers.com
get this whole look for just $31 dollars!!

ah, since i love you all so much i'll go ahead and post a pic of the nighty here too...
you in love or what? then get it here
guess that's all i have to say today... weird. i though i was waaaaaay more of a windbag than that.

road · killers noun [rōdˈ'ki-lərs]
dollhouse studded denim jacket
$24, available from roadkillers here

definition of roadkillers
1. a place where one can acquire cute thrifted looks
2. a tool for cultivating personal style
3. a state of mind

ok, ok, you caught me. i didn't get that definition out of the dictionary. however, i fully stand behind it... ;3

roadkillers is actually my online thrift boutique. i stock pieces that i think are original, are good for layering (layering is a must, yeah?), and are just all around cute in a non-cutesy way.

my ultimate girl crush...

i luv vivienne westwood. i would marry vivienne westwood if she asked me to. which is huge, cuz i like boys. a lot.

throughout the past 10 years or so i have periodically "run into" ms. westwood repeatedly, including that time i was listening to "harajuku girls" by gwen stefani and got waaaaaay too excited to hear a viv shout-out. i swear, i was just meant to adore this woman!

johnny rotten in the infamous
"destroy" shirt.
when i was 16 i fell into the punk rock music and culture of the 1970's and ran with it. my hair was perpetually ratted, ink black, bangs obscuring my vision. my mouth was a streak of crimson, a la robert smith. i  worshiped at the alter of the sex pistols, and of course vivienne was there. her collaborations with malcolm mclaren for their store let it rock (later named "sex", "too fast to live, too young to die", and "worlds end", respectively.) are legendaary among punkers. i wanted a "destroy" shirt. so. bad.
sid vicious in seditionaries. adore.
i was amazed that such intense, sometimes pornographic, always controversial designs were created by a woman. it blew my mind then, and still totally does. <3

seditionaries era t-shirt.
i need this.
vivienne westwood armour ring, $315

kanon of an cafe. <3
my next run in with viv came about after i became interested in japanese rock bands. by this point vivienne westwood had all but completely fallen off my radar until i saw the armour ring that kanon from an cafe, the bassist from one of my favorite japanese bands, was wearing. i was in luv instantly. and then i wanted the ring (sorry, couldn't help it...). it set in even further when the guitarist from my other favorite japanese band (aoi of the GazettE) also wore the vivienne armour ring in several photo shoots. i still do not own this elusive ring (or the gorgeous guys who wear it). and i still really really want it... i shall have it some day. sigh.
aoi of the GazettE. i want. ;3
nana osaki, wearing gorgeously
illustrated vivienne westwood... <3 x10
since developing a growing interest in japanese street fashion i have seen vivienne's name more and more- she's a huge deal in japan, for good reason obviously. but my adoration of her and her designs really reached new heights when i read the manga (japanese comic) nana. yes, i'm a nerd. luv me for it. it is by far my favorite comic ever, and it is crawling with vivienne westwood. one of the namesake characters, nana osaki, worships vivienne much in the same way i do. she wears her armour ring, rocks viv-tastic plaid jackets with ruffles... she's just epic. even the guitarist and bassist in her band rock vivienne! the author of the series, ai yazawa, is a vivienne fan and also incorporated her designs into another series, paradise kiss.
arashi from paradise kiss wearing a seditionaries-type sweater...
his way cutie-cute girlfriend seems to be a bit viv as well no? ;3
vivienne westwood in seditionaries.

i think i got my point across pretty well. i luve vivienne westwood. and apparently i would marry her.
the end. <3
